One Step Closer5 Guitar Tablature
tuning (low to high) C#, G#, C#, F#, A#, D#
just tune the entire guitar down half a step, then drop D.
I usually just play it in drop D, it's easier that way.

timing is not show... listen to the song

() - palm mute
* - harmonic
/ - slide

intro:
D#|-----------------------------------

G#|-0--0--x-7---8-7--x-3-
C#|-0--0--x-----8-7--x---

pre chorus: This sounds like a slighty different distortion.
It sounds like they might be taking a little
       distortion off for this riff.
D#|-------------------------------------
A#|-------------------------------------
F#|-------------------------------------
C#|-5---x-x---x-5---x-x---x-5---x-x---x-

C#|-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-

2nd prechorus: as I said before, this sounds like a different
distortion, but it sounds like the normal
distortion is added on for the harmonics at the
end
D#|-----------------------------5*-5*-5*-5*-
A#|-----------------------------5*-5*-5*-5*-
F#|-----------------------------------------
C#|-5---x-x---x-5---x-x---x-5---------------

bridge:
D#|----------------------------

F#|----------------------------
C#|-1--0--x-x----0-1-3-1-0--6-
G#|-1--0--x-x----0-1-3-1-0--6- after playing the last note, slowly
C#|-1--0--x-x----0-1-3-1-0--6- slide back down to the first fret.

the fourth time you are playing the bridge, replace the slide on the
6th fret with this:
