(from WIKOPEDIA.COM)

Fucík spent most of his life as the leader of military brass bands. He was a prolific composer, with over 300 marches, polkas and waltzes to his name. As most of his work was for military bands he is sometimes known as the "Bohemian Sousa".

Today his marches are still played as patriotic music in the Czech Republic. However, his world-wide reputation rests on this one work, his opus 68 march: "Entry of the Gladiators" ("Vjezd Gladiátoru"), which is universally recognized. This march is also known by the title
"Thunder and Blazes", but despite being so widely known, the tune's original name and composer are relatively obscure.

When you hear the song--you probably will visualize something other than "gladiators entering".......

NOTE: This is the first file I sequenced after 14 days without electricity due to Hurricane Ike. I knew FEMA was going to mess things up (as usual) and I thought they needed a theme song. As time wears on, the more I think this song is MORE than appropriate! :) What a bunch of CLOWNS!
