Hahaha, what memories this brings back. This was the day that a friend of mine and his sister came over to play capture the flag, and introduced the amazing "It's on the roof!" inside joke. I was later accused of cheating . . . but aside from that, I devised a song name (I usually don't start with a title, but this song was different). Calling it "Tropical Island", I set out to compose a song that fit the title. Fast forward a few months, and I'm sitting at my computer, messing around with my recording software and keyboard. I'm board, and I decide to make a song where a bunch of instruments play an epic rise into a C major chord. After one bar of that, I decided to add a drum part. Yeah, it was okay, but the improv (well, okay . . . ALMOST improv) steel drum part completed the epicness. I had saved that file as "CHECK1.MID", not knowing that I would soon merge the title and the song that matched it together.
